Just a couple days ago, a remaster for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 was revealed and the DualShockers crew is pumped. News Editor Michael Ruiz (me) and Video Manager Mario Rivera take a moment to discuss their thoughts on the reveal.
As always, Mario and I discuss our relationship with the franchise. In this case, we both adore it. We also go into our thoughts on the reveal trailer and all of the details pro skater Tony Hawk and Jen Oneal at Vicarious Visions discuss in their interview for Summer Game Fest.
If you are unaware, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is a remake of the first two games of the beloved series. It will feature all of the playable skaters, levels, and tricks from the originals. It will also feature music from each game (yes, Superman is on it). There will be some quality of life improvements added to make it feel how we remember the games feeling; this means tricks like revert and wall plant, which were not introduced in the original two games, will be in the remaster. It will also run in 60 fps and 4K resolution (if you have a console or PC that supports 4K).
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will launch on September 4, 2020, for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. You can pre-order several different editions. If you want to know everything about the upcoming remaster, you can check out this article to learn everything we know so far.
