Nippon Ichi Software announced that the remastered collection of the The Silver Case series, containing The Silver Case and The 25th Ward: The Silver Case, will launch on March 15, 2018 in Japan for PlayStation 4 as The Silver 2425.
The 25th Ward: The Silver Case was originally released on portable devices in 2005 in Japan and continues the story that began in 1999’s visual novel adventure The Silver Case.
The Silver Case HD Remastered on PlayStation 4 and PC updated the game’s UI and visuals. At this point, we aren’t sure what’s been done to the The 25th Ward: The Silver Case, but the publisher will announce specifics soon. However, we do know that some of the game’s text and keywords has been made clarified further for players to understand the story better.
The 25th Ward: The Silver Case is set five years after the events of The Silver Case. In a room of the “Bayside Tower Land” apartment complex, a woman has been found murdered without a clue to the whereabouts of the killer.
Following a series of random events, told over multiple protagonists including the returning character Morishima Tokio, the pieces will fall into place.
The world created by Suda51 is a “Kill the Past” universe, where the world is at the edge of collapse inhabited by anti heroes and misfits. The 25th Ward: The Silver Case uses the same “Film Window” system introduced in The Silver Case, with new visuals, sounds, and controls.
The 25th Ward: The Silver Case was recently announced to come west in 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and PC, but the Silver 2425 collection is exclusive to Japan at this time.
