The reviews for Death Standing may be polarizing, but I think we can all agree the music in Hideo Kojima’s new game is pretty great. Featuring the sweet sounds of Low Roar, CHVRCHES, and more, there are some great tunes to listen to. This includes “Ludens” by metalcore band Bring Me The Horizon, who premiered the music video today.
As seen above, the “Ludens” music video features scenes from Death Stranding. So, I guess if you are trying to avoid any image of Mads Mikkelson or Norman Reedus in this game, you may want to beat the 60-hour game before you watch this roughly five-minute video. The lyrics echo Death Stranding‘s theme of making connections, asking questions like “How do I form a connection when we can’t even shake hands?” Personally, I like the part where Bring Me The Horizon’s frontman Oliver Sykes says, “You call this a connection? Give me a break?” and then the song’s electronic fueled breakdown begins.
“Ludens” by Bring Me The Horizon is one of eight songs featured in Death Stranding: Timefall. Every track is an original song made for the delivery man game. The album is available now to stream on Spotify. If you are both a fan of the metalcore band and Death Stranding, two collaborated for some merch. This includes a shirt featuring artwork from Yoji Shinkawa, the artist most known for his work from the Metal Gear Solid series.
In other Death Stranding news, the game where you can throw poop grenades on ghosts has been selling pretty well. In fact, it has become the second-biggest launch of the year for the PS4; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare still is still at the number one spot.
Death Standing is available now for PS4. Kojima’s latest adventure will be available on PC via Epic Games Store and Steam in Summer 2020.
