E3 Season usually means two things: a ton of awesome game announcements and some pretty sweet deals on games. While Sony Interactive Entertainment is not attending E3 2019, they are still keeping themselves relevant with news like Death Stranding’s release date announcement as well as the return of Days of Play.
For those of you who are unaware, Days of Play is an annual initiative where Sony discounts their consoles, games, and other products for an extended period of time. The PlayStation Blog has confirmed that Days of Play promotion is returning this year from June 7 to June 17. If you want a simple PS4 Pro console, it has been discounted to $349.99. While there are a ton of cool discounts which I will get into later, this year Sony is also releasing a special edition Days of Play PS4 console that they unveiled at the last State of Play.
It has a special design with embossed PlayStation symbols, features 1TB of memory, has a unique PS4 controller, and costs $299.99. If you have somehow not picked up a PS4 yet, this seems like a great, unique console to get. It will become available on June 7 and will only be around for a limited time, which should make it valuable and rare in the future. You can see both the console and controller in the gallery of images below:
While the Limited Edition Days of Play PS4 console is cool, most of you probably already own a PS4 and are just looking to pick up some games. Days of Play will be just as relevant to you too as there are plenty of discounts. Most notably God of War, Days Gone, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and MLB The Show 19 are all dropping in price to only $19.99 during this period. Titles under the PlayStation Hits label, which includes games like Persona 5, Bloodborne, and Uncharted 4, will also only cost $9.99 during this promotion.
As for peripherals, PS VR headsets will be discounted to $249.99 while all controllers are falling in price to $39.99. Deals on other digital games, PlayStation Gear, and more were also teased by Sony, but they won’t be confirmed until June 7. As a reminder, Days of Play 2019 is set to run from June 7, 2019 until June 17, 2019.
