Compile Heart launched a new trailer for their upcoming fan service RPG, Genkai Tokki: Castle Panzers, coming to PlayStation 4 on September 28 in Japan.
The trailer shows new gameplay that is reminiscent of system found in another of Compile Hearts IP’s such as the Neptunia series. However, the battles seem a bit more fluid and have more strategy emended in the mechanics allowing the players to view the entire battle field and move about it freely depending on their action gauge.
Hilariously, some of the enemies are 3D versions of the 2D sprites seen in past Genkai Tokki titles, such as a Fishman holding a bat that resembles a male’s privates.
Additionally, it seems after a battle the girls celebrate with a rather risqué pose.
Lastly, the trailer shows plenty from the game’s touching mechanics that need no introduction as its appeared in the series past titles in many different variations. However, this will be the first in the series to be released on PlayStation 4.
Currently there is no word on a western release, however Idea Factory International released the second title in the series, Moero Chronicles, on PC in the west, which we reviewed. The company has said that they might localize the other entries, if the demand is high enough.
