Following the first reveal trailer of Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the team revealed who’ll be filling the role of the game’s main character Cal Kestis. Cameron Monaghan, who plays the Joker on Fox’s Gotham, will become the Jedi Padawan on the run.
It seems only fitting that another Joker joins the Star Wars universe. Mark Hamill, also known as Luke Skywalker, voiced the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series. It’ll certainly be interesting to see what sort of sensibilities Monaghan can bring to the role of Cal.
If you don’t already know, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order takes place between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope. As previously mentioned, you play a Padawan who has gone into hiding. Obviously, it doesn’t work out for him too well and he must master the force if he hopes to survive.
In the game, Cal will meet up with another rogue Jedi Knight who will sort of act as a master to him. Although it’s not a master in the traditional sense, due to the state of the galaxy. Additionally, Cal and his team will go up against an Inquisitor with a double-sided lightsaber so that’s always a plus. Furthermore, the blue lightsaber players wield will “change and evolve” over the course of the game according to Respawn, however, they refused to elaborate. And of course, Cal has a little droid sidekick named BD-1 that’ll help him out along his journey.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will launch on November 15 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you’re interested in pre-ordering the game, you can do so right now over at Amazon.
