Sniper Elite V2 Remastered was revealed for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch last month alongside Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition for Switch, Sniper Elite VR, and a new mainline Sniper Elite game. Today, Rebellion decided to bring this upcoming remaster into the limelight once more by releasing a graphics comparison trailer and confirming that Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will come out on May 14.

The game will be released physically on consoles, courtesy of distributor Sold Out Games. The digital version of the game is already available for pre-order on PS4 and PC at a 10% discount, with Xbox One and Nintendo Switch pre-orders opening on April 24. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will normally cost $34.99, though players who already own the game on PC can upgrade for $9.99.

But what exactly makes this upgrade worth the price? Showcasing the answer to that question is the main goal of the graphics comparison trailer which released today. At a base level, it adds 4K and HDR support on platforms that include those features. For the platforms that don’t, players can still expect vastly improved environmental detail, lighting, and character models.

On top of the visual enhancements this new trailer highlights, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is also going to include all previously released DLC for the game, a photo mode, 7 new playable characters from the Zombie Army Trilogy, and multiplayer that can support up to 16 players. That being said, the Nintendo Switch version will only be able to handle eight players.

You can check out the graphics comparison trailer for yourself below. On May 14, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will release for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
