Hello Games’ founder Sean Murray revealed via Twitter the newest large update coming to No Man’s Sky, titled Beyond. This update will be coming in a few months, in Summer 2019.
Early this year, we were working on three future updates, but we wanted to interweave their features to create something much more impactful.

Murray added how his team already mentioned in early 2019 that they were working on three new updates for the game. Beyond will be a merge of all of these three updates, to create a more intense experience, all linked together. The first one is No Man’s Sky Online, and the other two’s names are still classified information.
Many No Man’s Sky players hope for one of these two updates to be a VR mode, but nothing has been revealed yet, and more info will be “coming soon”.
Murray also shared a very short teaser video for the No Man’s Sky Beyond update, you can check it out below.
No Man’s Sky first launched in August 2016, and Hello Games has been constantly working on the game since then. Multiple patches have been issued, correcting various bugs and crashes. Numerous updates have added new content to the game as well. No Man’s Sky Beyond will be following the updates Next, Into the Abyss, and Visions, which each added their share to the game, including new games modes, new vehicles, and underwater environments to explore. Overall, No Man’s Sky is now a very different experience compared to 2016.
