I think it’s safe to assume that gamers all over the world are super stoked to get their hands on the upcoming title Cyberpunk 2077 by Polish game developers CD Projekt Red. Although we don’t have a release date as yet, it looks set to be an absorbing game from the trailers we’ve seen so far.
Set in the dystopian metropolis of Night City, California, the game follows the story of V who is a hired gun and will come in very handy when an economic collapse during the early 21st century forces the United States to rely on the Mega corporations to survive.
One of the most noteworthy aspects of Cyberpunk 2077 is its unique character creator which lets players fully customize the look of V using a “deep customization system” that allows you to be either male or female and also modify V’s style, clothing, makeup, and piercings – which is a far cry from CD Projekt’s last huge title The Witcher where you could only play as Geralt.
World famous cosplayer Maul utilizes this character attribute to its fullest as he once again captivates another persona impeccably. Is there anyone this guy can’t emulate? For his photo shoots, we see Maul taking on the role of the male V accompanied by his real-life partner majafelicitasb – who is a full-time cosplayer too – as she takes on the female version of V. Maul made all the costumes that you see him wearing from scratch, even the guns – although he states that these were taken off him when he went to E3 last year due to safety purposes which was a shame since it’s part of the cosplay.
If this is your first time hearing of Maul, otherwise known as the king of cosplay, then you’re in for a treat. Basically, there are not too many characters that Maul can’t do. His Instagram and Facebook are jammed packed with many of his previous endeavors that include the likes of his fantastic take on Geralt from The Witcher 3, Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, Rico Rodriguez from Just Cause and maybe my personal favorite, Joel from The Last of Us.
If all this talk about Cyberpunk 2077 is getting you even more excited, then you may want to tune into E3 this June as CD Projekt Red confirmed in a tweet that Cyberpunk 2077 will be at E3 2019 in some capacity, though obviously, it’s unknown at this time to what extent.
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development on consoles and PC, though as previously stated, there is no set release window or date for the game. In the meantime, you can prepare for the title’s release by pre-ordering the game on Amazon.
