Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, the remade version of the kart racing classic, was announced just a few months back at The Game Awards 2018. Now, Activision has released a new gameplay trailer today that shows off Crash and the crew racing around the world.

If you have played 2017’s Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, then Nitro-Fueled should look very familiar. The character models in this racing remake look the same as what was seen in N. Sane Trilogy, which isn’t a bad thing by any means. Most of the video focuses on showing the variety of different racers available in CTR along with a few different tracks.

To be honest, I’ve never played a CTR game but I’ve heard a lot of people claim that it’s better than Mario Kart. From an outsider’s perspective, I just don’t know how that could be true. Crash Bandicoot is bad! Mario is good.

I would say that I’m thinking of giving CTR Nitro-Fueled a shot when it comes out later this year, but the likelihood of that happening is little to none. The last time I tried out a Crash Bandicoot game was with N. Sane Trilogy and those games aged terribly. I’m hard-pressed to think anything would be different with CTR.

But try to convince me otherwise! Why should I try CTR Nitro-Fueled? Is it going to hold up better than the other games? Let me know down in the comments. If you’re interested in seeing more of Nitro-Fueled, you can also check out a variety of new screenshots from the game right here.

You can check out the gameplay trailer below. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is set to release for Xbox One, PS4, and Switch later this year on June 21. If you’d like to pre-order the game ahead of time, you can currently do so over on Amazon.
