I don’t know why I didn’t think of this one. Villager has been one of my mains since he was first introduced in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and his neutral special is my favorite move to pull off. Nothing is sweeter than catching a projectile and then sending barreling back at the opponent. However, I never thought about sending projectiles back and forth between Villager and Isabelle in Smash Ultimate, and it turns out it will cause something unexpected.
First noticed by the Reddit user “andrewsbro”, if you send a projectile back and forth using Villager and Isabelle’s neutral specials, it will crash the game. You can view the proof in the video below.
The Reddit user also commented that it was replicated three times in a row to make it wasn’t just a coincidence and it crashed the game every single time.
I haven’t given this a try myself to see if it has been patched out or not. However, I still find it hilarious that this wasn’t caught before release.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate is currently available for Switch. Make sure to check out DualShockers’ review of the game. If you have still not ordered the game, you can do so through Amazon.
