Remember a week ago when we were all hypothesizing on what Project Bowmore was? Surfacing on a few voice actors’ resumes and an online listing or two, “Bowmore” was the big mystery looking to be decoded. Well, it turns out that the game was the project name for the recently revealed Far Cry New Dawn.
How do we know that? Well… Ubisoft told us as much.
Whether it was a slip or a way to signal to journalists, the press assets emailed to us came under a file name titled “Bowmore”:
So yeah… that is perhaps an anticlimactic ending to some of the more crazy suggestions that people had. But at least this is a new mystery resolved and we can start focusing on other rumors.
Oh, and speaking of which, Far Cry New Dawn has a new batch of screenshots. If you would like to see those pictures, check the bottom of the article for those action shots.
If you’ve missed all of the announcements on this game, yesterday Ubisoft themselves revealed that they would be announcing a new Far Cry 5 spin-off today at The Game Awards 2018. There was a leak earlier today of supposed box art, but Far Cry New Dawn was eventually revealed by Amazon showcasing a ton of new information. Even better, we got a brand new trailer within the hour at The Game Awards 2018.
Far Cry New Dawn will be coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 15, 2018; you can pre-order the game now on Amazon if you think Far Cry 5 is getting snubbed at TGA 2018. Meanwhile, check out the gallery below:
