Sean Bean is arriving to the murderously fun Hitman 2 next week as an Elusive Target, and we’ve got a new video that you can watch below. It features some in-game Bean being teased and some information about the upcoming contract.
As with the previous Hitman title, Elusive Targets are a timed one-shot contract. If you fail the mission you won’t be able to replay it, so getting it right is a must. We previously knew Sean Bean was arriving to the title when he was revealed as the first Elusive Target. We also saw a live-action trailer teasing his arrival even more.
Sean Bean acts as Mark Faba, a former MI5 agent who chose to turn to a life of freelance assassination. He’s famous for faking his own death, giving him the name The Undying, which gives players the hint to make sure they have actually killed him.
Starting from November 20, the first Hitman 2 Elusive Target will be available for players to accept The Undying contract based in Miami. The contract will be available for fourteen days and come to an end on December 4.
If you successfully murder good old Sean Bean by completing the ‘Explosive Penmanship Challenge’ then you’ll be rewarded with the fan-selected Explosive Pen. This reward was voted by the community as detailed here and allows players to embed an explosive pen into their victim, which then shortly explodes. Another two items are available to find around the map, a Flash Grenade Robot, and Earphones Garotte.
Funnily enough when I heard “explosive pen” my mind instantly thought of Bean’s character in GoldenEye, Alec Trevelyan. If you watched it, you’ll remember this scene.
Hitman 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
