Publisher Focus Home Interactive has today announced its latest trailer on their recent title release Call of Cthulhu which came to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on 30 October. In the trailer called Accolade, we witness some Call of Cthulhu gameplay in the background, with the real focus being on the amazing press reception the title has received in the forefront.
In the run-up to release, we’ve seen many other trailers for the adaptation of Chaosium’s tabletop RPG title. At Halloween, to get everyone into that spooky feeling, we saw Sarah Hawkins running from someone (or something) in a dark forest. From here, we are thrust into a whirlwind of incantations and nightmarish scenarios before discovering Hawkins’ body lying dead in the woods.
In Call of Cthulhu, you play as investigator Edward Pierce as he is hired to look into the deaths of the Hawkins family and the mystery that surrounds it. With Pierce suffering from a post-traumatic stress disorder and battling alcoholism, this in itself brings difficulties to his life.
For those who love a bit of Lovecraftian ambiance in their gameplay, Call of Cthulhu is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One now. To get your very own copy, head over to Amazon and pick one up. You can also check out the devs’ hour-long showcase video.
