As usual for a few weeks now, Atlus released a daily character trailer for Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth, the dungeon crawling Persona spin-off based on the Etrian Odyssey series.
Today’s trailer introduces Haru Okumura from Persona 5. Despite the mysterious situation the characters found themselves into, she’s quite excited to be able to enter and explore movies.
Judging from her conversations shown in the trailer, Haru will really get along with Yukiko from Persona 4, sharing the same sense of humor. Haru and Yukiko also share an Unison attack together, as they’re both typically refined Japanese ladies and heiresses of big companies.
We can also see Haru and Mitsuru enjoying each other’s company, as they’re both black tea aficionados. It seems Mitsuru recently managed to obtain quite a rare brand and would love to share it with someone who understands its appeal, someone like Haru.
I really love everything about Haru. Starting from her hairstyle, which is even cuter here in SD. In my opinion, she has the best hairstyle among Persona 5 female characters along with Sadayo, which I ended up dating in my playthrough. There’s also how despite being voiced by Haruka Tomatsu, Haru has quite a unique voice, as Tomatsu-san voiced her in a way different than many other roles she did, something very refreshing to me. In comparison, It’s quite funny how Haru’s Persona Milady sounds more like the usual Tomatsu-san. At the end of the day though, my favorite Haruka Tomatsu role will always be Bell in Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live.
It’s quite a shame she joins the party so late into Persona 5. Compared to characters like Ryuji and Anne who’re there from the start, she kinda feels lacking. Even the game’s opening animation barely shows her.
Which is why my expectations are quite high for spin-offs like Persona Q2, hoping they’ll show even more sides to sidelined characters like Haru. If she has a similar moveset than in Persona 5, with the different barrier skills, she’ll definitely have a regular spot in my Persona Q2 party.

The shop specific pre-order bonuses for the game in Japan have been revealed, you can check them here.
You can also check the latest trailer focusing on one of the game’s movie-parodying dungeons: Junessic Land. Previous recent character trailers focused on Marie from Persona 4 Golden, Makoto Niijima from Persona 5 and Mitsuru Kirijo from Persona 3.
Persona Q2 is scheduled to launch for 3DS in Japan on November 29th. The game hasn’t been announced for the west yet.
