Today, Gunfire Games and THQ Nordic announced the first DLC plans for Darksiders III following its release next month.
In total, two DLC packs were revealed with the title of each being The Crucible and Keepers of the Void. As you may be able to guess with The Crucible, this pack will allow you to fight waves of new enemies in a new location in the pursuit of earning new gear and rewards. As for Keepers of the Void, Fury will travel into the Serpent Holes to defeat a foe that lies within. Much like The Crucible, you’ll be able to gain new items in this DLC pack.
Official descriptions of both add-on packs are as follows.
The Crucible
Fury’s presence has been requested by a strange entity wishing to test her skills in battle. Never one to back down from a challenge, Fury accepts the invitation and gains access to a location known only as the Crucible. Here Fury will fight wave after wave of enemies, competing for a chance to unlock new rewards and items.
Keepers of the Void
On a quest from Vulgrim, Fury must travel into the Serpent Holes to remove an ancient threat that resides there. The Serpent Holes are riddled with new puzzles and enemies eager to test Fury’s abilities. If Fury prevails, she will unlock all new weapon from the Hollows, as well as the biggest prize of them all: The Abyssal Armor.
As of now, specific release dates for these DLC packs have not been given, but we’ll surely here more once Darksiders III is out. Speaking of which, the game is scheduled to release later next month on November 27 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. To hold you over until then, be sure to check out my recent hands-on preview of the game.
