Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have today announced two new characters that will be making their way into the highly-anticipated fighting game Dead or Alive 6.
Announced via IGN, returning character Rig from Dead or Alive 5 alongside newcomer Diego have now been officially confirmed to be apart of the Dead or Alive 6 roster. Diego hails from New York and utilizes a variety of headbutts and tackles as his primary moves within the game. He is specialized in close-quarters combat and has the moveset of a street fighter. Rig on the other hands once again plays similarly to how he did in DOA5 with many of his attacks focusing on kicks.
You can see both Diego and Rig in action in a new reveal trailer for Dead or Alive 6 at the bottom of the page. We got to check out Dead or Alive 6 in June during E3 2018 and came away very impressed with what we saw. Our own Editor-in-Chief, Lou Contaldi, loved his time with the fighter so much that he gave it with his Staff Choice award for the show. This one’s shaping up to be pretty great, folks.
Dead or Alive 6 currenlty doesn’t have a specific release date other than early 2019, but when it arrives it’ll be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you want to reserve yourself a copy of the game ahead of time, you can dart over to Amazon and pre-order it right now.
