Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu had a reveal that will make many Dead or Alive fans happy. Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation is getting Leifang.
The returning heroine, who did not appear at all in the console game Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will be added with tomorrow’s update. The screenshots also showcase new swimsuits that are going to be added to the game. We also get to see a cute alternate hairstyle for Leifang herself.
In a small interview with the producer, it’s mentioned that the new original characters were very well received by the fans, but Leifang herself had many requests, so the developers decided to finally respond to those expectations.
After adding three original heroines, this is, in fact, the first time that DMM and Team Ninja adds back one of the many characters from the Dead or Alive fighting series that didn’t make it into Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 for PS4 and PS Vita.
It’ll be interesting to see if Leifang will be available in the standard gachas or only those willing to pay will be able to enjoy her, as it happened (and is still ongoing) with the previously-introduced character Tamaki. We’ll know that tomorrow.

Incidentally, if you hope to see the game’s new girls appear in Dead or Alive 6, you probably shouldn’t hold your breath. Yet, this goes only for the original characters, so Leifang still has a shot.
