Battlefront, battlefront II, Han Solo Season, Originals, PC, PS4, star wars: battlefront ii, star-wars, Xbox One

Today is the first conference for E3 2018, and EA has the floor. This event is called EA Play and it is where every new Electronic Arts title is revealed, including new changes to the Origin platform. Part of this show also included new details coming up for Star Wars: Battlefront II.

First of all, DICE admitted that the launch of the game was not perfect, mentioning that the team had to take a step back:

We had to take a step back and make sure we could deliver a game that our players really wanted.

Touching base on recent updates to the game was his next step, and speaking on the Han Solo Season which is currently underway. New content from Solo: A Star Wars Story will be coming in the next week to celebrate the man who may or may not have ‘shot first’.

Coming this summer is a new Squad System to help you and your friends connect easier for team play. A new Starfighter mode will also be coming, focusing on dogfighting with Hero ships.

Another mode will be included to Battlefront II and it involves some pretty big levels. It will be a multiplayer sandbox experience where players will battle over command posts. Players will also be attacking and taking over capital ships during battles. This sounds really cool because I can already imagine taking one of these behemoths out of the sky and parking it on top of a group of unsuspecting stormtroopers.

For those of you who are fans of The Clone Wars, your wait is finally over. The levels from this part of the Star Wars Universe will take place on the planet Geonosis, including the largest level ever built for a Battlefront game. There are also new Heros and Villains to choose from in the upcoming content. These include General Grievous and the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, along with Anakin Skywalker and Count Dooku.

Battlefront II is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If you missed out on the EA Play event at E3, then you can check out the full video here. Stay tuned here as we continue to deliver news from E3 for your pleasure.
