Sony Bend Studio’s upcoming apocalyptic open-world title Days Gone was unfortunately delayed into 2019 earlier this year though it seems like that might not be the only release date news we’ll soon be receiving on the game.
During a recent conversation with Screen Rant at PlayStation event, Sony Bend’s Studio Director Chris Reese talked about the Days Gone release date and just when fans can expect to hear more. “We’ll have more info on that very soon,” Reese stated. No other details were offered by Reese in relation to the release date but knowing that we might have more info soon is exciting in and of itself.
The most likely time in which this release date could be unveiled would be during Sony’s E3 showcase, which is now less than three weeks away. That said, Sony hasn’t confirmed that Days Gone will even be present during the showing and has instead opted to focus their event on The Last of Us Part II, Death Stranding, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Ghost of Tsushima. If Sony does end up revealing the release date for Days Gone during this showing then it wouldn’t be surprising, though it is a bit strange that they wouldn’t confirm the game’s appearance beforehand.
We’ll have to wait to see if we hear more about Days Gone when Sony’s E3 showcase begins on June 11 at 6PM PT. Until that time, feel free to head over to Amazon to pre-order Days Gone if you haven’t done so already.
