On day 11, I soloed for 5 hours to 3 airports over 150 miles of cross-country. John is an excellent instructor and I am very happy with the experience I received and my training. She is nothing short of brilliant. I had a chat with Tony, the proprietor, and felt at ease. Although challenging the training was great and had an amazing time flying all over Southern California. They identified my weaknesses within the first day or so, and I flew more hours in a week than in 6 weeks with the Part 141 school. Mike and Ruben were always ready to answer questions and provide advice and moreover helped moving aircraft around/ordering fuel/etc. I had a fantastic time with Oleg and AFIT, and am very excited to have gone from no experience to a private pilots license in just 14 days. 'Accelerated Path to Wings' pilot training makes history He obviously loves aviation and perhaps, more importantly, teaching. He really took the time to explain the concepts and to improve my skills while both in the air and during ground school. After going over flight maneuvers, Pattern work and the Private Pilots knowledge (Ground School), I was given a Pre-solo test and by day three I did my Solo. After that first solo Paul and I spent the next 6 days working on my new skills and learning to be a good pilot. Andy is a phenomenal instructor. Thank-you for the note of congratulations. On checkride day, it was way windier than Id have liked but I could just hear Jacob voice in my head telling me to just let the plane do its thing and then I calmed down and did great! He was an amazing instructor and very patient with the things I had to work on. Andy was great and I couldnthave hoped for a better instructor.
