The PlayStation Blog has revealed the top digitally downloaded games for August on PlayStation 4, PS VR, and PS Vita. Grand Theft Auto V has finally been dethroned on the PS4’s store as Madden NFL 19 took the top spot on the list. As I mentioned in my recent review, swinging may be the king of Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man, but combat is certainly the queen, and it’s awesome.  Today Sony Interactive Entertainment released a brand new video of the game, in which the development team explains how combat was created, and the importance of freedom, environmental interaction, and gadgets.

Back in 2014, NCSoft owned developer Carbine Studios released their first game, an MMORPG called WildStar. While the game was a minor success, but it did go free-to-play fairly quickly. Over four year’s after WildStar’s initial launch, NCSoft has made the decision to shutter Carbine Studios, which also means WildStar will be closing soon. Kotaku
