For well over three decades, The Legend of Zelda series has sparked our imaginations thanks to its endless sense of adventure and epic stories. Though each game has featured familiar elements retelling the story of the Hero of Time, each game has brought its own unique elements to that story, and perhaps no other game has done that better recently than 2017’s Breath of the Wild, as seen in one incredible fan creation.

Artist and photographer Mason Drumm shared a striking creation inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (via Kotaku), which takes the form of a wooden topographical map that encompasses the game’s iconic take on Hyrule. You can find more detail on the project below from Drumm himself:

“What started as a creative break from my short film, “Unbound,” quickly became my most ambitious woodworking project to date. Inspired by hundreds of hours spent playing “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” I set out to create a wood and epoxy, hand-crafted, 3D topographical map of Hyrule. Every nook and cranny of the map has an adventure or memory I can recall from playing the game with my wife on the Nintendo Switch. It took 65 hours of work over six weeks in my fathers shop to complete the map. It was my first time working with resin/epoxy and now that it’s done, hanging on the office wall behind my desk, I’m happy to say it was an absolute delight to bring that digital realm into the real world.”

As you can tell from the photos, Drumm clearly poured an enormous amount of time and effort into this recreation of the map from Breath of the Wild, and it’s striking to see the detail and craftmanship that went into making it. Alongside the beautiful photos of the wooden map, a video also shows the map in the style of Game of Thrones‘ opening credits as it weaves in and around the various locations of Breath of the Wild‘s Hyrule.
