Last week, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution was released on Nintendo Switch in Japan and since then, Duelists in other countries have been wondering when they’ll be able to get their hands on the title. While we don’t have an exact release date just yet, we now know that the game will be getting both a physical and digital release in Western territories.
The news was announced in a tweet by the official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Twitter account. While no new screenshots or media was released with this announcement, it was also revealed that more information about its release will be coming by the end of the month. Of course, this might be a bit disappointing to some who were hoping that the game would be available in Western regions in the next few days, but it’s nice to finally get some new information about the game after it’s initial announcement back in March.
For those that don’t know, Link Evolution is a Nintendo Switch port of 2015’s Legacy of the Duelist, which includes new summoning mechanics, characters, story missions, and more. While there have been only a few pieces of media released for the English version, Konami has released a short trailer for the Japanese version, as well as some gameplay.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist Link Evolution is set to be released on Nintendo Switch in Western regions sometime this summer. As of the time of this writing, no price or exact release date has been announced.
