While the Switch continues to sell very well during the summer break, with shoppers looking to bring a console with them on vacation, the top of the software chart is taken by the Yakuza 3 remaster for PS4.
Remasters tend to show very soft performance in Japan, and while the numbers aren’t massive, they’re not bad at all for a game that already launched on PS3.
Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun! proves to be definitely a success on the Switch, thanks to a combination of fitting the platform really well, and being pretty much the perfect game for the Japanese summer.
Fire Pro Wrestling World also comes with a pretty decent debut, especially if you consider its nature as a niche retro-style title. That being said, if you sum PS4 and PS Vita, it would be overtaken by Bullet Girls Phantasia. Japanese gamers definitely still love their waifus.
