As we begin to near May, those looking forward to Microsoft’s next-gen console the Xbox Series X have begun to wonder when we might start to see more of the games that are planned to be coming to the platform. Fortunately, it doesn’t sound like we’ll have to wait much longer to start seeing more of these titles

In a new conversation on Twitter, Microsoft’s Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, addressed a fan’s question about how the team at is dealing with plans for revealing new games that will be coming to Xbox Series X. Spencer expressed optimism and excitement in his response, stating that more game reveals for Series X aren’t too far away at all.

“Reviewed plans yesterday for continued sharing through launch. Team is doing great work and adapting. I’ve never been more excited about Xbox plans,” Spencer stated. “We’ve heard you, you want transparency/authenticity. We plan to keep showing that way, next step is not too much of a wait (games).”

Compared to Sony and the PS5, Microsoft has actually already unveiled some of the first games that are being planned to come to Xbox Series X. 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite has been known of since 2018, although gameplay footage for the title has yet to be shown. Late last year, Microsoft also unveiled Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga at The Game Awards alongside the formal reveal of the Xbox Series X. Recently, Spencer has also teased that Xbox Game Studios has a lot more projects that it needs to announce in the coming months prior to the release of the Xbox Series X.

So just when will Microsoft begin talking about these games that Spencer is teasing? Well, it seems most likely that we’ll start to learn more during Xbox’s upcoming digital event, which it’s holding in place of an E3 2020 conference this year. As of now, a date for this digital event hasn’t been given by Spencer or the team at Xbox, but some rumors have indicated that it could be transpiring in May. Either way, we should know way more soon.

For now, all we know for certain is that the Xbox Series X is still planned to release later this year in the holiday season. Halo Infinite will be releasing alongside the console (assuming its development doesn’t get delayed) but the rest of the launch lineup is still unknown for now.
