Coming off the critical acclaim of the more recent entries in the series, such as 2017’s excellent Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, the Wolfenstein series is primed and ready for its next installment with the upcoming Wolfenstein: Youngblood. While the game hasn’t been confirmed for an exact release date just yet, a new teaser from Bethesda might signify that we may hear more about the game every soon.
On its official Twitter page, Bethesda shared a teaser that seemingly is tied to Wolfenstein: Youngblood, with the post featuring a GIF of BJ Blazkowicz’s face on an ’80s-era computer screen with “LOCATION: UNKNOWN” branded across his face. Though there isn’t much else to go off other than that, it’s pretty safe to assume this is tied to the story of Youngblood (as BJ’s daughters go on a vendetta to try to find him), but hopefully it signifies on a deeper level that we might get to hear more about the game in the near future.
As far as Youngblood is concerned, the only real presence that we saw from the game was at last year’s E3 2018 from the game’s reveal, which showed an ’80s setting where BJ Blazkowicz’s twin daughters go on a mission to find their missing father in Paris, France. Other than that, we don’t know exactly know too much else about the game, other than it will be a co-op focused experience that (presumably) will have players take on the role of BJ’s daughters as they fight to try and save their father.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and is expected to arrive sometime in 2019.
