During its E3 2018 press conference, Bethesda Softworks only mentioned Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, but Todd Howard’s jokes needed time to sink in, so there was no time to actually show the game.
Today the publisher released the announcement trailer, finally giving us a glimpse on the gameplay. Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot is set in Paris in 1980 exactly like the other game announced at the conference, Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
The game is a VR title for PC and PlayStation VR in which the player takes the role of a pilot bringing the Nazi machines against their owners after they have been hacked. That’s certainly an interesting concept, and it seems to be free from the usual movement gimmicks we see in many virtual reality shooters.
You can check out the trailer below, and see if it gets you excited to don the headset for this one. The game will come in 2019.
Of course, this as just one of the announcements that Bethesda delivered at its press conference. If you want to see the rest, you can check out the full recording.
