Things are starting to heat up in the Witcher world. Not only are fans getting an augmented-reality exploration game that challenges them to become an elite monster hunter in the Witcher: Monster Slayer mobile game, we also have the impending WitcherCon to look forward to that will be a must-see for all Yennefer and Geralt enthusiasts.

What is WitcherCon?
WitcherCon is a digital celebration that will take a deep dive inside the inner workings of what makes the game, as well as the hit Netflix show, tick. If you would love to know more about the lore of The Witcher and the folks behind the development, you won’t want to miss the interactive panels where Anya Cahlotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri) as well as showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich will be answering questions.
The event will be split across two streams with lots to entertain Witcher loyalists that include quizzes, epic reveals and season two surprises. We have our fingers crossed for a release date and a more gritter trailer for Netflix’s The Witcher!

What is the WitcherCon Start Time?
WitcherCon will begin this Friday, July 9, with the first stream starting at 10 am PT/1 pm ET/6 pm BST. For the second stream, make sure you are around on Saturday, July 10 at 5 pm PT/ 9 PM ET and a very early 2 am BST if you’re in the UK but at least you’ll have the Sunday to rest.
Where can I watch WitcherCon?
You can tune in to all the WitcherCon action on YouTube or Twitch via The Witcher’s CD Projekt Red channel and also the Netflix channel.
Everything we know so far about WitcherCon
During Netflix’s Geeked Week last month, we got a little taste of a trailer starring Freya Allan’s exiled princess Ciri. Now granted the clip was only a few seconds long, but there was a ton to dissect that included Ciri training at Kaer Morhen and many other hidden meanings. Throughout WitcherCon, we should get a more in-depth trailer or, at the very least, a step by step guide into what exactly Ciri was doing along with what the Elder runes mean.

On July 9, showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and cast members Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Mimî M. Khayisa, and Paul Bullion will take turns in drawing cards from a deck of fan questions which will allow viewers to get an insight into their journey through The Witcher Season 2. Anya and Freya will also be taking a look back at the evolution of their characters from Season 1 to Season 2, and describing the changes that occurred which got them to where they are now.
If a round of Gwent is your thing, there will be a showcase of the popular card game as well as bringing the stories of The Witcher to life through video games, a look at The Witcher: Monster Slayer, the creation of The Witcher figures and a conversation with Henry Cavill about The Witcher Universe that will apparently include a few little surprises.
If you’re around for the second stream on July 10, you can look forward to much of the same but with the added extra dive into the creation of the upcoming Netflix anime film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and the lore behind Kaer Morhen which should be captivating viewing for any fan.
It’s certainly a very busy Witcher month and we are hoping for even more. Our fingers are crossed for brand new The Witcher Season 2 footage as well as more from Nightmare of the Wolf this weekend at WitcherCon. Stay tuned.
