After quite the wait, Emily is Away <3 finally has an official release date.
The market for nostalgia has been at an all-time high for several years. People are itching to get the feelings of their younger days back and no game series seems to understand this more than Emily is Away.
Harkening back to the days of AOL Instant Messanger and the early days of Facebook, the third entry in the series, Emily is Away <3, has been a highly anticipated indie for years.

Emily is Away 3 Release Date
Announced in a tweet from the game’s solo developer Kyle Seeley, fans of the series won’t have to wait too much longer for the next installment. Emily is Away <3 is set for PC release on April 16. Because of delays and development issues, it was up in the air if the game was ever going to come out. Luckily, Seeley has been very transparent about the game’s development so those fears have been quickly put to rest.

Emily is Away <3 Theme
As mentioned above, the Emily is Away games do a wonderful job at recreating the feel of using old-school social media sites. Seeley announced on Twitter in 2019 that the game would move away from AOL Instant Messanger and focus on the early days of both Facebook and Youtube. The game’s most recent trailer shows exactly what that will look like.
