Bandai Namco Entertainment and Project Aces continue to show off the many aircraft of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown in focus trailers, with the latest featuring the A-10C Thunderbolt II.
Primarily a air-to-ground aircraft, the A-10C Thunderbolt II was first introduced to the United States air force in 1976 and has continued to be in service. The A-10A was the original production model and the only version produced, as all A-10C’s are upgraded versions of the original model. With significantly lower speed than other aircraft, this jet is best utilized for missions with a focus on ground targets, as its powerful weaponry can destroy clusters of enemy ground forces as shown in the trailer.
The A-10 Thunderbolt has been in nearly every Ace Combat game from Air Combat to Ace Combat Infinity.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is set to release on January 18, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC port coming later on February 1.
