It’s that time of the year again when developers of online games try to get players into the holiday spirit by making winter-themed community events and updates, and it seems like indie developer Digital Extremes is no exception, as they have just unveiled, and released a brand new update for its hit game Warframe.
The update, which is titled Goul Purge Bounties, adds a few new enemies, each with their own unique weapon: the Rictis Goul uses a vehicular buzzsaw, the Auger Goul uses a flamethrower, the Devourer Goul uses spiked fists, and finally the Expired Goul uses exploding gloves.
In addition to the new enemies, players will also be able to wield four new weapons: the Cornith (a double-barrel shotgun), the Gunsen (a bladed weapon), the Guartekk (a four-barrelled rifle), and the Stubba (a submachine gun with an insane rate of fire).
Finally, players can also customize their individual Quarters. The exact number of items and combinations have not yet been revealed, but it seems like it’s enough that no two spaces will look the same.
To celebrate the release of this brand new update, the developer has released a brand new, albeit short, trailer. You can check it out at the end of the article.
Warframe was originally released on March 25, 2013, and is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
