If you’ve been looking to get a physical copy of Rocket League then you may want to hold off for a bit. Today, developer Psyonix announced that it will be partnering with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to bring an updated version of the popular sports game to retail stores.

Previously, 505 Games, the publisher behind the console versions of Stardew Valley, distributed physical copies of Rocket League, however now that will no longer be the case. This new version of the game will include extra content in addition to the base game, however, the specifics of that content have yet to be announced.

The updated physical copy of Rocket League will hit retail stores sometime in late December 2017 and will be available only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In other Rocket League a couple weeks ago news, the game’s Halloween event was revealed, which changes the way people will earn cosmetic items.

Rocket League was originally released on July 7, 2015, and is available on the aforementioned platforms as well as PC. A Switch version of the game is also in development, however, the release date for that version is unknown. Recently, DualShockers got a chance to play the Switch version, and, as what should come as no surprise, we thought it felt it felt exactly like the previous releases.
