When most people think of Pokémon Go they immediately think of classics from the first generation such as Charizard and Blastoise or maybe even some of the awe-inspiring legendary creatures like Kyogre or Groudon. However, not all pokémon are quite so memorable. Enter Feebas.
Feebas is the focus of the next round of limited research for the immensely popular mobile app. The water-type who debuted in Pokémon: Ruby Version and Pokémon: Sapphire Version alongside now iconic creatures such as Blaziken and Roselia may seem a little lackluster in comparison. However, this somewhat boring looking animal’s life is something of an Ugly Duckling story, as its evolution sees it transforming into the beautiful and majestic Milotic.
Limited research on the Hoenn region pokémon will be available by spinning pokéstops in your local area. This will then give you access to tasks which will, in turn, see you encountering Feebas along your travels. There is even a chance of catching a shiny variation which sports a gorgeous light blue tint upon evolution.
The Feebas themed challenge will be available for just a few short hours on January 19, 2019, from 12 pm to 3 pm (PST).
Pokémon Go is available now on Android and iOS. The game can be downloaded for free and can also be used in conjunction with Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! on Nintendo Switch. Each of which can be purchased via Amazon.
Ready to cast a net, Trainers? Put your research skills to work next weekend—Feebas will be receiving a three-hour Limited Research event, where Field Research tasks end in encounters with the Fish Pokémon! If you’re lucky, you might find a Shiny Feebas! https://t.co/xMNlTS25y0 pic.twitter.com/bXLipmWqol
