Two Ubisoft titles have been delisted from Steam, the PlayStation Store, and the Xbox Live store, and both are related to the Call of Juarez series. The removal had been pointed out by Wario64 on Twitter, who was the first to report the change. The two titles are Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, and Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
If you are still looking to make a digital purchase of either title, then all is not lost. Ubisoft’s Uplay store is still selling the games, and digital codes for both titles can also be purchased through Amazon.
Are you wondering why Techland or Ubisoft hasn’t resolved the issue? It is possible this is caused by a licensing problem, like that of an expiration of licensing agreements. Interestingly enough, the Bound in Blood patch is still listed on the PlayStation Store for purchase. Ubisoft and Techland have not responded on whether this additional content will soon be subject to removal from the Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox Live stores.
This story could change in the near future should Ubisoft or Techland decide to make any official statements. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger was released on the PlayStation 3, The PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360, and PC. Call of Juarez: The Cartel can be found on all those systems, except for the PlayStation Portable.
