Square Enix announced an orchestra concert along with an OST CD release for Trials of Mana remake. The OST CD is launching on April 22, 2020. Only a Japanese release was announced for now and it can be preordered on multiple online stores listed on the Japanese official site. The full tracklist is there too. Remember that Amazon Japan ships overseas and it pretty nice for importing overall, in my opinion. The Trials of Mana OST isn’t listed (yet) on the American Square Enix Music site.

The Trials of Mana remake includes a complete rearrange of the original OST. Hiroki Kikuta, who composed the original OST, supervised the rearrangements, which were done by multiple artists: Tsuyoshi Sekido, Koji Yamaoka, Sachiko Miyano, and Ryo Yamazaki.

Square Enix previously confirmed the original OST from the original Seiken Densetsu 3/Trials of Mana on SNES  is also available in the remake. You can switch from the original OST to the rearranged version on the fly on the menu.

Next, Square Enix also announced the Seiken Densetsu 3 25th Anniversary Orchestra Concert. This is an orchestra concert for the original game’s OST, orchestrated by the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. It’ll be held on May 10, 2020, at the Shibuya Bunkamura Orchard Hall. Hiroki Kikuta will be present. Tickets are at 9000 Yen (tax included) and will go on sale on March 7 at 10:00 JST. If you’re actually planning to attend, you probably know some bit of Japanese, and I’ll direct you to the additional details found on the concert’s official page.

A gorgeous illustration by Haccan showing the six protagonists of Trials of Mana was also published for the concert.

As usual with these kinds of events, there will be two concerts the same day, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening. That way, a maximum amount of fans can attend. This is the sole date announced for now, with no overseas dates, which makes sense seeing Seiken Densetsu 3 isn’t as popular as Secret of Mana worldwide. Maybe additional dates outside Japan wth other symphonic orchestras will be announced later on if the Trials of Mana remake’s sales are pretty high.

Trials of Mana was announced at E3 2019 with a first trailer and gameplay. We previewed Trials of Mana at two different events here and here. A demo was also listed on the PlayStation Store but wasn’t officially announced nor released yet. You can check out the game’s trailers, artwork and previously revealed details like the Class system. Square Enix also released new screenshots and detailed all the new features found in the remake.

If you appreciate our coverage, you can preorder Trials of Mana on Amazon to support us: PS4, Switch.
