Tiny Barbarian DX originally released to Steam way back in 2013. Now, after patiently waiting for the day to come, Nicalis, Inc. and StarQuail Games’ 16-bit 2D action platformer has found its home on the Nintendo Switch.
In Tiny Barbarian DX, you must put on an exquisite display of manly magic flinging, sword swinging action to impress the barbarienne of your dreams. The game has been inspired by heroic sword-and-sorcery fiction such as Conan the Barbarian and Fafhrd & the Grey Mouser, borrowing their pulp, episodic style and more than a little testosterone.
Tiny Barbarian DX is a 2D action platformer that features combo-based hack-and-slash gameplay across four episodes. In addition to a bonus “vs. The Horde” game mode (plus a couple secret unlockable ones) the game also features a two-player cooperative mode if you’re looking for something to play with a friend.
Tiny Barbarian DX is currently available for PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch for $29.99. For more information on the game, you can visit its official website, its Steam page, or even its page on the Nintendo eShop.
To commemorate the announcement that Tiny Barbarian DX has launched on the Nintendo Switch, developer StarQuail Games has also released a very tongue-in-cheek trailer for the game featuring a lot of brawn.
