Geralt from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt sure does get around, doesn’t he? – If he’s not busy getting a unique questline in the Monster Hunter: World, the rugged casanova is sniffing around some unsuspected pumpkins, probably with text popping up somewhere that says “Something strange in this pumpkin patch…might wanna look around“.
At first, you may think this is a screenshot from The Witcher 3 due to the uncanny resemblance, but in actual fact, this is cosplayer, actor, and model Taryn who loves nothing more than dressing up as his favorite character from the popular Witcher series – and what a damn good job he does too.
From the pictures, we notice Taryn mimic Geralt’s silvery white mane, cat-like eyes, pale battle-ridden skin, and Geralt’s all defining eye scar – which apparently when speaking to Ciri during The Witcher 3, he received from the two-legged dragon with a rooster’s head called a cockatrice.
Even though Taryn loves nothing more than riding around on Roach all day, seducing women, and getting into all kinds of battles, he also has other cosplay talents. On his Instagram, you can see him don the attire of Sub-Zero from the Mortal Kombat franchise, Dovahkiin cosplay from The Elder Scrolls – who are born with the body of a mortal and the soul of a dragon, and also some The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild cosplay thrown in for good measure.
Ultimately though, Taryn’s Geralt cosplay is where he does his best work – he even went as far as to make the costume, sewing and stitching together all the unique materials (even the chainmail) into one of the most thorough cosplay outfits I’ve had the pleasure to witness, not to mention that wonderful beard! – Nice work, Taryn.
If you’re a fan of Geralt – then again, who isn’t? – make sure to keep an eye out for the eight-episode long series The Witcher when it hits Netflix later this year, but currently, no release date has been provided as yet. In the meanwhile, you can check out why staff writer Steven decided to side with a demon over another human in his editorial on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s DLC – Hearts of Stone.
