Today, developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision announced that the classic map Carentan will be returning for Call of Duty: WWII.
Carentan first appeared in the original Call of Duty, and has made subsequent appearances in Call of Duty: United Offensive, and Call of Duty 2. It was then completely remastered as Chinatown in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The map takes place in a close-quarters French town, meaning you’ll have to rely on shotguns or submachine guns if you want to win the fight.
Here’s the catch: Carentan will only be available to those who purchase the Season Pass, or own it as a part of the Pro and Digital Deluxe Editions.
Call of Duty: WWII is set to hit digital and retail stores on November 3, 2017, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Players who choose to pre-order the game will receive access to the Division’s Pack, which includes five outfits for your multiplayer characters, the Multiplayer Upgrade (which permanently unlocks one weapon), and 1,100 COD points for use on Supply Drops.
