Its been nearly two years since The Behemoth released Pit People, their ARPG strategy game. Since then, the devs have been mostly silent, but that all changed today. At the tail end of their bi-weekly Twitch stream, a timer popped up on the screen. The countdown ends tomorrow and will culminate in the reveal of the developer’s much-anticipated fifth game.

As a kid who grew up on Newgrounds and has long followed the indie scene, The Behemoth is always a company I’ll pay attention to. Their signature art style is, of course, super odd, but there’s something about it that puts me right back in middle school. That nostalgia is powerful, and it helps that most of the games the team puts out are tons of fun to play.
Not much is known about the game as of now. It will be interesting to see if The Behemoth goes back to the action genre they had so much success with or continue to explore new genres as they did with Pit People. If I were a betting man, I would bet on a return to their previous glories, but I’ll be happy either way. The one thing we can be certain of is the art will be excellent and game five will ooze style.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to find out more about game five. The Behemoth will reveal it on January 30 at 5:00 PM PST via their Twitch channel. If you don’t have time to watch the reveal yourself, check back with DualShockers. We’ll have all the tasty details for you.
