Today, InXile Entertainment released the launch trailer for The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep.
The game was initially announced in January 2015 and was partially funded via Kickstarter. The Bard’s Tale is another western RPG franchise which got revived using the crowdfunding system, once players around the world showed love for the genre is still burning brightly. In these past years especially, many western RPG games were partly funded this way and received deserved success. Best examples would be Obsidian Entertainment’s Pillars of Eternity and Larian Studios’s Divinity: Original Sin.
While The Bard’s Tale IV retains classic dungeon crawling elements and turn-based battles, the game’s beautiful graphics will quickly remind you it is indeed a 2018 game.
The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep will release for PC via Steam on September 18th. The game is also scheduled to release on Linux, Mac, PS4 and Xbox One, but releases dates for these platforms haven’t been communicated yet.
