With just over a month until the game’s launch, Breakpoint and Bigben Interactive are beginning to go more in depth about specific features of Tennis World Tour. Today, they released a new trailer that goes over all the unique aspects of Tennis World Tour’s Career Mode.
Players begin Career mode in 100th place on the national rankings. In order to improve, players must get to the top spot by training and participating in exhibition matches and tournaments. While players should keep their avatar busy, one must also keep an eye on their fatigue meter, as it causes your character to play worse and even get injured if it’s depleted. Along the way, players also use money they earn to purchase better equipment, staff, and pay hefty tournament fees.
Even after the top sport is reached, it must be defended; Career Mode looks like will defintely be one of the most content heavy parts of Tennis World Tour. As fan of tennis games in the late 2000’s, I am glad to see this niche within the sports genre is making a resurgence in 2018. In the next few months we will be getting Tennis World Tour, AO International Tennis, and (for a more arcadey experience) Mario Tennis Aces. We certainty won’t have a lack of tennis games to play this summer.
You can check out the new Career Mode video below. Tennis World Tour is poised to release on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Swtich May 22. You can currently pre-order the game on Amazon.
