I found it. The greatest title for a video game ever made. Take a look at the announcement trailer for Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion developed by Snoozy Kazoo and published by Graffiti Games.
The game is an over the head 2D Zelda like an adventure where players will take control of a cute little turnip which, as described in the description from the trailer, is a complete menace to society.
The turnip failed to pay taxes and is evicted from their home which sets them off on a quest to pay back their debt to Mayor Onion.
Players will be tasked with solving puzzles, meeting other vegetables and fruits, and taking on countless enemies while unveiling how corrupt this vegetable government really is.
From what I saw in the trailer, we will expect to see an adventure similar to a top-down Zelda game. Turnip boy grows a sword that they can use to defeat enemies. Bombs can be grown to blow up walls and reveal hidden passageways. There are even bosses such as King Pig, a giant pig that ate a ton of fertilizer as the trailer says.
This game looks right up my alley. The genre is my cup of tea and it also looks absolutly hilarious. At one point during the trailer, Turnip Boy finds a book titled “How to do your Taxes” that they just rip up and continue on their adventure. That gave me a serious chuckle.
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion is scheduled to release sometime next year for PC.
