Today the NPD announced its results for the month of August, by way of Analyst Matt Piscatella, who published a video with all the data.
As usual, the NPD’s estimates track hardware and software sales across the marked in the United States.
The Switch was the best-selling platform in terms of unit sold, but the PS4 sold best in terms of dollar sales. That being said, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch all ended the month of August within 3% of each other in terms of dollar sales, showing that all of them achieved strong results.
Madden NFL 19 was the best selling game of the month, followed by Monster Hunter: World and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
As usual, titles marked by the asterisk don’t include digital sales.
