A few days ago, details regarding the Super Rare Club, a special membership program from physical games distributor Super Rare Games, leaked online. While Super Rare Games quickly took down that leaked information, they kicked off 2019 right by officially announcing the Super Rare Club.
One can sign up for the Super Rare Club throughout the rest of January and purchase a membership that will last through January 31, 2020. A yearlong membership will cost $32.50; unfortunately, Super Rare Club membership purchases are currently non-refundable. But what is a membership program without some exclusive benefits? Super Rare Games made sure to detail those as well.
While one won’t be getting free games out of the membership, there are still some neat perks. The biggest advantage to having a membership is that member will be able to purchase upcoming indie game physical releases on Super Rare Games’ website two days before their officially release. Even after the purchase, Super Rare Club members will also receive priority shipping on all purchases.
Super Rare Games has handled the physical release of great Nintendo Switch indie titles like Snake Pass, N++, and the Mutant Mudds Collection in the past, so this membership will hopefully give members early purchasing access to some great titles throughout 2019. Fortunately, this won’t have an impact on availability for non-Super Rare Club members as Super Rare Games is ensuring “that the number of members we have is never more than the quantity of a title we will release.”
Super Rare Club members will also get a one-time 25% discount, be entered in monthly item and game giveaways, and will join an exclusive Discord server and mailing list where members can learn about upcoming Super Rare Games physical game release announcements before anyone else.
If interested, you can currently purchase a membership on Super Rare Games’ website that will run from February 1, 2019 until January 31, 2020.
