Soedesco announced that D-pad Studio’s story-driven platform adventure Owlboy will receive a physical release.
Currently the game is only available on PC, with a planned Nintendo Switch version, but the publisher states that platforms and release information of the physical release will be announced at a later date. This could indicate that the game will release on other platforms.
Bas de Jonge, Marketing Manager at Soedesco about their collaboration with D-Pad Studio: “I’m very excited to finally announce our collaboration, it’s something we’ve had in the works for a while now. Today, a year after Owlboy’s release on Steam, we’re happy to finally share this news with the community, and we’re hoping everyone is just as excited as we are to bring this fantastic game to retail.”
Owlboy allows players to fly through a world of obstacles and enemies through a story-driven campaign adventure. Players will assume the role of Otus, a mute who struggle with living up to the expectations of owl-hood. Incidentally, sky pirates appear and make matters harder on Otus and send him on a full blown quest.
