Cloud Imperuum Games released a new trailer of its upcoming space simulator Star Citizen.
The trailer showcases another planetary vehicle among the game’s growing garage, the Drake Dragonfly, that will be playable as soon as Alpha 4.0 launches for backers (which should be soon enough).
It’s certainly a rugged and hardy speeder-like vehicle, but if you’re familiar with Drake, you know what you’re getting into.
On top of that, the game’s crowdfunding campaign just passed 159 million dollars just a few minutes ago, and it’s sitting on $159,000,730 pledged by 1,872,797 backers at the moment of this writing.
You can check out the trailer below, and if you want to see more, you can watch the impressive demo showcased at Gamescom, which revealed the upcoming alpha 3.0 and the first battle among playable capital ships. You can also enjoy several more trailers of recent ships, one for the Constellation Aquila, another video on planetary outposts, one on the MobiGlas, two more gameplay videos, one on shops and kiosks, footage on derelict ships, more on explorable planets, and one on ship persistence.
For the sake of full disclosure, do keep in mind that the author of this post backed the game on Kickstarter during the original campaign, quite a while ago.
