As Star Citizen continues development towards Alpha 3.2 that will come in June, Cloud Imperium Games released two new videos providing various updates.

First of all, we get a sizable update on the development of the single-player portion of the game Squadron 42, icluding animation, damage, and the mighty Bengal-class carrier.

We also take a better look at the B2-inspired stealth torpedo bomber AEGIS Eclipse, that will become flyable with 3.2.

Last, but not least, a big feature on scanning, which will come with interesting “cat and mouse” gameplay mechanics on both Squadron 42 and the persistent universe. Speaking of scanning, a second video features a Q&A with Designer Kirk Tome and Engineer Mark Abent as they explain the mechanics in more details.

On top of this, the crowdfunding total for the game has passed another milestone and is now above 187 million dollars. To be more precise, the game is sitting on a $187,027,229 at the moment of this writing, with the registered user count at 2,041,949.

You can check out both videos below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy another video featuring the Hercules Starlifter and our recent interview with Global Head of Development and Foundry 42 Studio Director Erin Roberts.

For the sake of full disclosure, keep in mind that the author of this article is one of the backers of the game since the times of the original Kickstarter campaign.
