Today, Square Enix announced that it would be teaming up with PC part manufacturer NVIDIA to develop the PC version of Crystal Dynamics’ highly anticipated title, Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
According to the publisher, NVIDIA will be providing the company its gaming and PC development expertise to help deliver the most advanced gaming features for the PC version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Thanks to this partnership, Nixxes Software will help maximize the performance benefits of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series of graphics cards for gamers sporting that particular line of GPUs.
Additionally, this collaboration announcement marks the continuation of the Square Enix/NVIDIA duo, with other notable collaborations with the pair including Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided just to name a few.
A sequel to 2015’s Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider has players once again control Lara Croft. Players must maneuver through a lethal jungle, overcome intimidating tombs, and persevere through Croft’s darkest hour to date as she races against time to save the world a Mayan apocalypse.
In other Shadow of the Tomb Raider news, today alone, the forthcoming title received a new cinematic trailer and screenshots, which provide a better insight on Lara’s next epic adventure. On top of that, the publisher also unveiled details regarding various editions of the title as well as the Season Pass.
