Ahead of its launch in September, Eidos Montreal today announced that Shadow of the Tomb Raider has officially gone gold.
For those who are unfamiliar with the term, going gold essentially means that Shadow of the Tomb Raider is now content complete and can begin being prepared for shipping. In the meantime, Eidos Montreal will likely still be hard at work up until release to fix any lingering bugs that might be present in the game. They’ll fix these issues in a day one patch that has pretty much become the standard in the industry.
In other Shadow of the Tomb Raider news, a new gameplay trailer for the game happened to just release yesterday. You can check that video out here. If you’re looking for a more opinionated look at the game, you can also read my impressions after going hands-on with SotTR at E3 last month.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available on September 14 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Currently, you can pre-order the game over on Amazon.
